Just a Few Tues. Morning Pics

The theme for this week is Timber Trek.  The blue team is the Gear Heads and the gold team is the Grease Monkeys.  A lot of the activities have to do with racing to the finish.
During Cabin Challenges the teams are constructing cars out of materials they "purchase" with points earned by keeping their cabins clean.  At the end of the week the cabins will race (stand up in and run with) their cars.
This cabin's plan is to make a blue dolphin car.  Impressive Plan!
Alex posing in front of one of the guys' cabins.  He really wishes he could be a camper!
This cabin is making a Jeep.

I'm a bit tired to be adding captions to all these so I will let you try to decipher some of them yourselves.  Just know your campers are already having a blast and being challenged with the Word.  We are so excited for them--this is going to be a great week!

Camp Cell Coverage....Or Lack Thereof!!

Well, the good news is that we are here safely, praise the Lord! The bad news is that the cell coverage around here is practically nonexistant.  So, if you really need to get in touch with either of the Coons or Jarabas or your camper please either take your chances leaving a message on our cells or just call the camp directly if it is an emergency.  Otherwise you could contact us throuh e-mail, the blog, or facebook as we do have wi-fi at different times of the day.  Please be patient with us in this regard and we will try to keep you posted on how things are going through this blog!  Continue to keep the campers in your prayers--they are already having fun and have heard the Word preached!

Sleep is for the weak!

Well, 24 of us headed down to Fremont for the All Night activity put on by Liberty Baptist Church. If my math is correct, after well over 50 pieces of pizza, more than five gallons of Mt. Dew and other caffeinated beverages, over 750 times sending a bowling ball down a lane (or a gutter), one pizza skit we all wish we could forget, and some good straight preaching, we survived! Here are some pictures of some of the fun. I forgot the cameral and my phone doesn’t take very good photos I found out so unfortunately these are all that really turned out. (oh, and thanks to the couple of brave souls that came along to help sponsor / supervise. I still believe that there will be special crowns in heaven for those that willingly endure all night activities with teenagers amped up on Mt. Dew!)
